New Threat In Nigeria
According to Al-Jazeera: A terror organization named “Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM)” that has relations with Al Qaeda, announced that they attacked in Nigeria first time. Attack occured in Kwara Region that is located at west of the country and they accepted they have killed one Nigerian soldier. JNIM announced they have captured cash money and guns, but Nigerian army have not made any announcement yet.
JNIM is a terror organization that began its activities at 2017 in Mali and has connections with AQIM that is Al-Qaeda's Northern Africa organization. Ongoing years, it began its activities in Burkina Faso, Niger, Benin, Ghana and Ivory Coast. The organization’s move toward Nigeria shows that boundary security of Nigeria got weakened.
Already, Nigeria government has been busy with some organizations like; Boko Haram and Western African branch of ISIS (ISWAP) for a long time. New movement of JNIM, may make more complicated scene in Nigeria. President Bola Tinubu, ordered army to take more decisive and tough decision against terror organizations in the region. The experts warn about these are messengers of new regional threats by mentioned Jihadist organizations.
