Turkey’s defense industry is growing fast and showing strong progress in many areas. Companies like MKE, ASELSAN, ROKETSAN, STM, and Baykar are developing modern systems for the Turkish Armed Forces and international markets. These developments increase both military power and export potential.
MKE introduced new generation weapon systems and plans to use them actively in real operations. ASELSAN delivered important technologies such as the ASELFLIR-500 system, which is used on drones for imaging and targeting. This system is already exported to more than 20 countries and supports many UAV platforms.
The KORKUT 25 air defense system is another important development. It is designed to stop small and fast drones using smart ammunition and artificial intelligence. This system can detect, track, and destroy targets effectively, which is very important in modern warfare.
ROKETSAN and STM joined the DSA 2026 defense exhibition in Southeast Asia. They presented their advanced products to increase cooperation and exports. Turkey’s defense exports are rising quickly and are expected to pass 11 billion dollars in 2026.
The Turkish army also received new systems like the Fırtına-2 howitzer and AKINCI unmanned aerial vehicle. These systems improve operational strength and battlefield capabilities.
In addition, new unmanned systems such as Kızılelma K2 and small drones are being developed. International platforms like the Eurofighter Typhoon will also be shown at defense events.
Overall, Turkey is becoming a strong global actor in defense technology.
