No drop in military aid to Kyiv since US policy shift, NATO official says

Hazal DOĞRU tarafından

A senior official in NATO announced that despite the change in US policy to Ukraine, there has been no decrease in military aid to Kiev. Although US President Donald Trump stopped direct military donations to Ukraine after taking office, it was stated that previously approved shipments continue with support mechanisms carried out through NATO. It was stated that the shipment of weapons, ammunition and military equipment continues throughout 2025 through the Ukraine Security Assistance and Training Mission (NSATU) established within NATO. Officials emphasised that Ukraine's primary needs are air Defence systems, artillery ammunition and electronic warfare capacity. The current support mechanisms aim to meet these needs in the short term. This development reveals that although the USA adopts a cautious approach in its political discourses, NATO maintains its continuity in its military support for Ukraine.
