Life Story Of ATATÜRK

 

 

 

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was born in 1881 in Salonica. His father’s name was Ali Rıza Bey and his mother was Zübeyde Hanım. Atatürk’s four out of five siblings died while they were young. His only sibling was his sister Makbule Hanım. He started his education at Hafız Mehmet Efendi Local School. He transferred to Şemsi Efendi School due to his father’s demand. He lost his father in 1888. He started Military School where his mathematics teacher added his middle name “Kemal” to his name. He started the war of independence in Turkey in 1919.

He died on 10th November 1938, four years after his surname “Atatürk” was given to him by Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

 

DETAİLS ABOUT ATATÜRK

 

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk started his education at Hafız Mehmet Efendi Local School due to her mother’s demands. His father made him continue in Şemsi Efendi School where he finished primary school. After his father’s death he had to take a break from his education because he and his sister moved to a farm with their mother. Then he returned to Salonica where he continued his school life. He started Salonica Property High School after Şemsi Efendi School but then he dropped out of there with his own decision. Then he started Military School in 1894. His mathematics teacher appreciated his intelligence and gave him his middle name “Kemal” to seperate him from other students who are named Mustafa. Then he continued Monastir Military High School after he finished Military School. He was also taking French lessons while he was visiting Salonica during his summer breaks. He got in to Istanbul Military Academy in 1899. He finished this school as a lieutenant after three years and continued in Military Academy. He graduated as a staff captain in 1905. spent some time arrested in Istanbul due to his ideas against sultanate.

 

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk spent 3 years in Sam, then he was appointed to 3rd Army headquarters that was located in Monastery. He came to Salonica to work in the branch. He worked for 5th Army headquarters and 38th Infantry Regiment after he was taken from 3rd Army headquarters. After his success in all of these appointments, he got assigned with a task at the General Staff in Istanbul. Mustafa Kemal left Istanbul to take charge in the Tripoli invasion on September 15th, 1911. By the time it was November 27th he got promoted. He was then promoted to be a lieutenant colonel in 1914. In 1915, Çanakalle was invaded. Because of Atatürk’s great accomplishments there he got promoted to colonelcy. On May 19th 1919, after the Mondros truce, Mustafa Kemal got to Samsun with the ferry named Bandırma. He first went to Amasya, and then continued to Sivas and Erzurum. Five days after his arrival to Erzurum, he quit his job in the military to continue his goal to save the country as a citizen.

 

After Mustafa Kemal left Sivas he went to Ankara. He was chosen as the Erzurum representative for the parliament. He wanted to stay in Ankara.
