NATO High Level Group Meets in Brussels on Nuclear Deterrence

On 25 February 2026, senior officials from across the Alliance gathered in NATO Headquarters in Brussels for a meeting of the NATO High Level Group, the main advisory body to the NATO Nuclear Planning Group. The session focused on maintaining the credibility, effectiveness, and security of NATO’s nuclear deterrence in an evolving global security environment.

Chaired by Dr. Robert Soofer, the meeting brought together representatives of Allied nations to review nuclear policy issues and ensure that NATO’s deterrent posture remains strong and adaptable.
