NATO Deputy Secretary General hails growing partnership with Armenia

During meetings with Armenian leaders, NATO highlighted its support for Armenia’s defense reforms, capacity-building efforts, and armed forces modernization, as well as cooperation in areas such as defense education, good governance in the security sector, and scientific collaboration. The contribution of Armenian personnel to NATO-led missions, including KFOR in Kosovo, was also praised as a sign of Armenia’s professionalism and commitment to international security.
The Deputy Secretary General further underlined NATO’s support for stability and peace in the South Caucasus, welcoming recent diplomatic steps aimed at advancing the peace agenda between Armenia and Azerbaijan. She stressed that the timely implementation of agreements and continued dialogue are essential for long-term regional stability. Looking ahead, NATO expressed readiness to further strengthen cooperation with Armenia through a more ambitious partnership agenda, focusing on resilience, reforms, and practical collaboration that benefits both sides.
